Harris tallied his best ever figures in season 2008-09 and was recognised by his peers to be selected in the ACA/Johnnie Walker Twenty20 All-star team. He finished fifth on the Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield batting table with 813 first-class runs and a high score of 124 against Western Australia. His impressive batting was consistent across all forms of the game and saw him score 98 runs in a KFC Twenty20 match against the Bushrangers at the MCG – a Redbacks record in that form of the game. A qualified doctor, Harris has come a long way since his debut in 1999-00 and is a reliable opener for the West End Redbacks with plenty of talent to score runs.
