Bank SA Senior Country Cricket Carnival
The SACA and Bank SA are proud to host the 89th Bank SA Country Cricket Carnival to be held at various SACA Grade cricket locations around Adelaide, beginning on the 3 February and concluding on 6 February, 2014. This carnival presents all senior country cricketers the opportunity to test their skills against the finest talent from all parts of South Australia whilst engaging in social activities with other participants, ranging from new players through to the many previous acquaintances. Each game is played on the pristine facilities maintained by the 13 SACA Grade cricket clubs within the Adelaide metropolitan area or the SACA itself, which gives all players the perfect opportunity to ‘demonstrate their flair’ on the same turf that many of our first-class players use on a Saturday.
Each match is scheduled to run for 50 overs (one day), with two pools of four teams playing a round-robin format with finals played on the fourth day. Each match is scheduled to start at 10:00am pending extreme weather and the condition of each ground.
If you would like any further information about the Bank SA Country Cricket Carnival, contact SACA’s Cricket Competitions Department,

Alternatively if you have any queries concerning a country zone, contact the SACA Cricket Development Officer for that region. See the cricket department contacts for details.
2014 BankSA Senior Country Carnival
SACA extends a warm welcome to all players, coaches, managers, parents and supporters to Adelaide for the 89th BankSA Senior Country Carnival.
As was the last few seasons, the carnival will be played over four days, rather than seven days. There will be two pools of four teams (based on the placings in the previous carnival) with each team playing three preliminary rounds against the other teams in their pool and a crossover game on the last day to determine placings and the overall winner.
The Senior Country Carnival provides an opportunity for country cricketers to experience playing at Adelaide venues and to pit their skills against the best cricketers from all areas of South Australia. We are fortunate that the 13 SACA Grade Clubs have made their A Grade ovals available for matches this season.
Once again, the carnival has the support of our major sponsor BankSA who also provide wonderful support to our junior programs via the Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 Country Cups and the Under 16 BankSA Shield.
The Premier team will again earn the right to play in the SAMCA Cup (formerly CUSA Cup) final on Adelaide Oval in March. They will play the winner of the SAMCA Metropolitan Shield in this game. The Carnival Team of the Year will play against the Favell-Woon XI, also to be held in March.
The BankSA Senior Country Carnival has over many years provided cricketers from all country areas with the opportunity to renew old acquaintances and develop new friendships through the great game.
