Season 2014/15 has seen a change in staffing around the Male Youth Programs with former SACA Talent Manager, Tim Nielsen, appointed to the position of General Manager, High Performance. Shaun Williams has joined SACA as State Talent Manager. 

A former South Australian player with 99 first-class games experience and member of the victorious 1995/96 Sheffield Shield side, Nielsen began coaching with the Australian team in 2002 as a performance analyst and assistant coach.

He was involved in the winning Ashes team of 2002/03 and the victorious ICC Cricket World Cup team in 2003.

In 2007, Nielsen was appointed head coach of the Australian team and spent four years in the role, winning the ICC Champions Trophy in 2009.

Since 2011, Nielsen has been working with SACA as state talent manager, responsible for the identification of South Australia’s best young cricketing talent and working with the Emerging Redbacks program.
