Junior Country Cricket Cups

BankSA Junior Country Cups

SACA and BankSA are again proud to showcase South Australia's emerging country cricketers in the 2009-10 Under 16 (7-10 December 2009) and Under 14 (4-7 January 2010) Country Cups. For many junior players these carnivals are the first step to higher honours playing for district representative teams and SACA underage squads. Current state players including James Smith, Daniel Harris, Gary Putland, Paul Rofe and Shaun Tait have come through country zones to earn the honour of wearing a Redbacks cap at first class level.

This is the third year of SACA's Grade club/country alignment, wherein all country associations are aligned to one of 12 Grade clubs in Adelaide and it is proving to be most successful. It has allowed Grade clubs to meet players and parents, identify talent and further strengthen their relationship with their country zone. The one day matches will be played on cricket grounds across metropolitan Adelaide with grounds to be advised shortly.

Further information, including program booklets, fixtures and results are available on the Country Cup website.
