Volunteers

GET INVOLVED – BE A CRICKET VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are the backbone of any sporting club and are often the unsung heroes behind both individual and team success. Being a volunteer can be very rewarding and is an alternative way to be involved in your local club other than as a player.

Coaches, committee members, room stewards, team managers, canteen staff, bbq attendants are all examples of volunteers that are required throughout the season by each club.

Grant Applications

The Office for Recreation and Sport Grants and Scholarships website

The Office for Recreation and Sport provides assistance to clubs and associations through various grants and scholarships made available throughout the year. A copy of the most recent Recreation and Sport Funding Handbook is also available to download from their website

Police checks

As a club it is important that the people involved in your club are there for the right reasons.  With a significant push, from Federal and State Government to implement child protection policy, the SACA has worked with the State Government through the Office for volunteers to allow affiliated clubs to obtain free police checks.

Play by the rules

This website, put together by the Office for Recreation and Sport, contains information from Equal Opportunity Commission, Child Protection Agencies, SAPOL and the Australian Sports Commission to assist clubs in developing a welcoming and inclusive environment.
