MILO T20 Blast
The South Australian Cricket Association is taking cricket indoors this winter, with the MILO T20 Blast program set to return to the Stepney ICA.
Featuring heavily throughout the summer months, the popularity of the MILO T20 Blast program and its successful introduction to indoor cricket centres last season has prompted SACA to run the program at Stepney indoor cricket centre, beginning with a free ‘Come and Try’ session on Monday 4 August, 2014.
While Australia’s most explosive male and female Twenty20 players prepare to compete on Adelaide Oval in their respective T20 Internationals on November 5, boys and girls aged from 7-10 will get a head start on the cricket season with indoor facilities increasing the amount of available opportunities for junior cricketers to get involved.
The indoor MILO T20 Blast program provides the opportunity for budding young cricketers to warm-up for the upcoming season and for newcomers to get a taste of the action before stepping up to traditional forms of outdoor cricket.
MILO T20 Blast focusses on skill development and building game sense, through an introduction to modified cricket matches and coaching throughout each session, while the emphasis remains on enjoyment and maximum participation of all children. MILO T20 Blast is the next step in the cricket pathway after MILO in2CRICKET.
The eight-week program will run on Monday nights from 4:15-5:30pm, beginning August 4 at Stepney ICA. With the first session free, come and try your hand at T20 cricket and mingle with Adelaide Strikers players.
