West Torrens District Cricket Club - Senior Women's Grade Coach 

West Torrens is the oldest Club in the SACA being formed in 1857 as the Hindmarsh C.C.

The Club has an impressive history of success amongst our women’s playing group in the short time that we have fielded Women’s teams. Last season West Torrens won three of the four SACA Premierships on offer, the B Grade, both A and B Grade T20 Premierships and finished third in the A Grade.

The squad contains a large group of experienced players including an Australian representative and four others who have been members of the SA Scorpions squad. In addition there is an outstanding array of very enthusiastic Juniors who will continue to thrive under a suitable coach.

Port Noarlunga Cricket Club - Coach Advertisement

Formed in 1933, the Port Noarlunga Cricket Club is embarking on a new chapter in its long history by affiliating with the Adelaide and Suburban Cricket Association next season.

We are looking for a highly motivated ‘people person’ as Senior Coach (playing or non-playing) for season 2014/15 who preferably has playing experience at District level.

We currently have 3 Senior sides of enthusiastic cricketers and a motivated committee aiming to make our club the best hard wicket club in the South.

Marion Cricket Club - Junior Coaching Opportunities

Marion Cricket Club is affiliated with both Adelaide Turf Cricket Association and South Central Junior Cricket Association and requires the services of Junior Coaches for season 2014/2015.

Currently fielding four junior teams at U17, U15, U13, U11 level, Marion also has a strong focus on U9 T20, Kanga Cricket and In2Cricket programmes. 

Modern facilities include practice nets with turf wickets, bowling machine, new change rooms and fully licensed club with bar and dining. 

We’re seeking motivated, well organised coaches to teach and develop the basic skills of the game to young cricketers with support from a hardworking, dedicated committee.
First time coaching applicants are welcome to apply with overall cricketing experience and the ability to structure training and develop players the main considerations. We require minimum Level 1 Coaching accreditation and can provide support and assistance to obtain this if required. 

Successful applicants will be expected to:

• Have the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with young people
• Communicate well at all levels and provide leadership and direction
• Plan and manage training and match days at agreed times
• Oversee player selection in consultation with team managers who will provide strong support on game days
• Maintain a positive and enjoyable playing environment

Southern Districts Cricket Club - U14s and U16s Coaches

The Southern Dustricts Cricket Club is seeking applications to fill the roles of our Under 14's and Under 16's coaches.

The Under 14's and 16's play in the SACA Junior Grade Competition, Red and White Divisions. 

We have an exciting group of juniors coming through the club in 2014/15.

 Outstanding facilities are available for training including the 4 hard wicket's and 4 turf wickets.

The ideal candidate would have the following attributes:

  • Experience in playing, coaching, or combined with a Community (Level 1) Accreditation, and willing to obtain a Representative (Level 2) Accreditation.
  • Strong passion for junior cricket
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong will to succeed

Prospect District Cricket Club - Development Coach

The duties of the Development Coach will include but not be restricted to the following:

  • Conduct skills coaching one-on-one, or on agroup basis at senior practice sessions for players in B, C, D & junior grades
  • Liaise with the A Grade Coach as required at practice to ensure all players have access to skills coaching required
  • Liaise with B, C & D Grade captains as required at practice to ensure all players have access to skills coaching required
  • Focus on the younger and transitional (from junior to senior cricket) to help accelerate individual players development
  • Assist in talent identification amongst the senior players and particularly with a view to identifying players capable of playing A Grade cricket
  • Assist in talent identification over all junior grades with a view to identifying players capable of playing senior cricket
  • Attend as necessary and when available, junior practice sessions
  • Liaise with Director of Junior Cricket & Junior Coaches regarding players identified from Junior Grades capable of "playing up" to help accelerate individual players development and recommend those players to Match Committee
  • Liaise with parents of Junior players and junior players respectfully
  • Attend any grade of cricket on Saturdays if considered appropriate to view/assess individual players

Tailem Bend Cricket Club - Playing Coach

Tailem Bend Cricket Club, affiliated with the Murray Towns Cricket Association (only an easy hour's drive from the city) is seeking a playing coach for the season 2014/15.

Must be of A Grade playing standard and a qualified coach to oversee our A Grade and 2 x B Grade sides, and help with mentoring the Under 15's and Under 11's sides.

Trainings are held on Thursday nights at Tailem Bend; and games can be played at Tailem Bend, Meningie, Mannum, Karoonda and the Murray Bridge area.

Woodside Cricket Club - Club Coach

The Woodside Cricket Club is seeking applications for the position of Head Club Coach.

Woodside has a proud history and is affiliated with the Alexandra & Eastern Hills Cricket Association. We currently field 5 senior teams in all grades and have strong junior numbers from U10’s to U16’s.

The Club is looking towards furthering it’s on-field successes and a head coach would be responsible for steering the playing group in that direction. They will be responsible for planning training sessions, and coordinating other coaches for specific training needs. This person needs to be a good communicator at all levels, and promote a vision for ongoing success.

Umpire Coaching Opportunities

The South Australian Cricket Association are seeking expressions of interest for three unique coaching opportunities to assist in developing Australia’s next elite cricket umpires. Candidates must have extensive cricket or officiating experience and be willing to pass on that knowledge to a diverse group of cricket umpires.

An honorarium and benefits will be offered to the successful applicants along with all relevant training and accreditation needs and attire.

A Grade Umpire Coach

This position is ideally suited to an ex-player or coach with experience at A Grade, Grade cricket level. Working with a small group of umpires making up SACA’s A Grade Umpire Panel.

The coach would be expected to:

  • Attend 1 or 2 training sessions per month (in season)
  • Attend A Grade matches and provide verbal and written feedback to umpires and assessments to SACA’s Umpiring Manager.
  • Obtain video footage of umpires at matches with relevant comment and feedback. (equipment supplied)
  • Facilitate post match meetings between umpires and team captains
  • Attend and instruct at SACA’s pre-season umpire training and seminar
  • Assist in the ranking and selection of umpires into various panels

B Grade Umpire Coach

This position is ideally suited to an ex-player, umpire, coach or official from another sport with a high level of experience at Grade cricket level or high level officiating from another sport. Working with a small group of umpires making up SACA’s B Grade Umpire Panel.

The coach would be expected to:

  • Attend 1 session per month (in season)
  • Attend B Grade matches and provide verbal and written feedback to umpires and assessments to SACA’s Umpiring Manager.
  • Facilitate post match meetings between umpires and team captains (in A Grade) from time to time.
  • Attend and instruct at SACA’s pre-season umpire training and seminar
  • Assist in the ranking and selection of umpires into various panels

Community Umpire Coach

This position is ideally suited to an ex-player, umpire, coach or official from another sport with a high level of experience in Cricket or officiating from another sport. Working with a small group of umpires from the Adelaide Turf Cricket Association.

The coach would be expected to:

  • Attend 1 session per month (in season)
  • Attend Adelaide Turf matches and provide verbal and written feedback to umpires and assessments to SACA’s Umpiring Manager.
  • Attend and instruct at SACA’s pre-season umpire training and seminar
  • Assist in the ranking and selection of umpires into various panels in conjunction with ATCA’s umpire selection committee.
